Centenary Foursomes 2025 Rules

<p>Players must read SWG Competition Rules and Guidelines. Particular attention is draw to Rule G15c dates offered &amp; G18g availability for finals day.</p>
<p>All players who wish to enter a SWG competition must be in possession of a current, registered WHS handicap.</p>
<p>They must have played three qualifying rounds in the previous 12 months prior to the date of the Event, or for Individual and Inter-club competitions, prior to the date of each match. This applies to handicap and scratch competitions.</p>
<p>Centenary Foursomes Rules and Conditions (CF= Centenary Foursomes)</p>
<p>CF1. A foursomes match play Competition played annually.</p>
<p>CF2. Players must be members of clubs affiliated to SWG. Substitutions may be made ahead of the first round. No substitutions will be allowed once the first round has been played.</p>
<p>CF3. Matches will be played off Matches will be played off 50% of the difference between the aggregate of each Team&rsquo;s Course Handicaps. Rounded Course Handicaps will be used for this competition. Eg Pair 1: Annie: CH 16 Bryony: CH 21 Aggregate CH 37 Opponents Pair 2: Cynthia: CH 22 Debbie: CH 18 Aggregate CH 40 40-37=3 divided by 2 and rounded is 2 so Cynthia and Debbie will receive 2 shots.</p>
<p>CF4. The combined handicap indices of the players must be a minimum of 20.0 or a maximum of 60 on the date entries close. If the combined handicap index total goes below 20.0 during the competition, players must use their updated handicap index when calculating differences. Should players&rsquo; combined handicap index go above 60.0 during the competition, the limit of 60.0 applies. If the combined handicap index is above 60.0 the extra is subtracted from the higher handicap player i.e. if combined is 61.5 then 1.5 is deducted from higher handicap player prior to calculating course handicaps.</p>
<p>CF5. The &lsquo;Home&rsquo; Team Captain/Player(s) must offer at least three dates and no more than two dates in a seven day period. This must be done by the contact date on the draw sheet, otherwise the opponent(s) may claim &lsquo;Home&rsquo; advantage. Where a player is a member of two clubs or a pair are from different clubs (in the Stirling Salver or 4BBB), they may offer dates at either club. However, in a given round all dates must be at the same club. Whilst it is the responsibility of the Home Team Captain/Player to offer dates, it is expected that both sides will take reasonable actions to arrange dates.</p>
<p>CF6. Note - Some players may have multiple home matches or away matches due to the nature of the draw. Round 1 - The players at the TOP of the draw will play their match at &ldquo;Home&rdquo;. Round 2 - The players at BOTTOM of draw will play their matches at "Home" Round 3 - The players at the TOP of the draw will play their match at &ldquo;Home&rdquo;. Round 4 - The players at BOTTOM of draw will play their matches at "Home"</p>
<p>CF7. Play By Dates</p>
