Good luck to Surrey Girls at the U18 Girls' Amateur

Good luck to all the Surrey Girls taking part in the R&A U18 Girls' Amateur at Alwoodley, Monday, 12th - Saturday 17th August.  Annabel Peaford, Emily Peaford, Matilde Santilli, Lottie Woodham and Mia Ingham will be in the field of 144 competitors playing 36 holes of stroke play over the first two days.  The top 64 will qualify for the match play stages.

First played in 1919, the R&A Girls’ Amateur Championship is a highly coveted junior title. Past winners include major champions and Solheim Cup players such as Anna Nordqvist, Suzann Pettersen, Azahara Munoz and Georgia Hall. More recently, Slovenia's Pia Babnik triumphed in 2019 and has already gone on to win on the Ladies’ European Tour. The winner gains exemptions into the Women’s Amateur Championship, the US Girls’ Junior Championship, Final Qualifying for the AIG Women’s Open and by tradition, an invite to compete at Augusta National Women's Amateur Championship.

Good luck girls, we will be following your progress and willing you on!
