Senior Scratch team versus Essex
Surrey team: Maggie Whittet, Belinda Pope (Captain), Jackie Kingswell, Debbie Richards, Susan Glover, Karen Francis
The senior team travelled all the way around the M25 to Essex and unfortunately although it was a pleasure to play on green and grassy fairways, the recently treated greens proved to be a great leveller and Essex benefitted from playing all their home matches in 2 leagues at Chigwell. Once again the team ended up on just the wrong side of a close result going down 2.5-3.5. Many thanks to the team for giving up 2 days to practice and play this match. Fingers crossed we can win our last match of the season which is now at Woking!
